Swapping clothes shows how hard it is for the fat person to fit into the thin persons, while the thin person is showing how much extra weight that obese person is actually carrying.Back to back, the skinny and obese lady are so obviously different to look at.

Weight Loss via Liposuction & Liposculpture

Sucking the fat out with Liposuction

Liposuction is certainly the fastest weight loss method that I know of. Liposuction allows you to drop 4 clothing sizes in just one surgery, AND the liposuction takes the weight from the areas we want to lose weight from.

Liposuction is a surgery. Liposuction involves using a tube that is inserted into our fat deposits, and a vacuum machine then sucks the fat out through the tube.

Following the liposuction procedure, some customers may develop tiny scars at the tube insertion points - but most customers would consider this side effect of liposuction a small price to pay for their new shapely and thinner self.

Some of you may get the idea from reading the above, that if one attaches an aquarium hose to a vacuum cleaner, apply some pain killing gel, that one could liposuction oneself. It would be nice to think we could lose our weight so fast and easy, without the cost of the cosmetic surgeon doing the liposuction.

Certainly, when you watch bits of the liposuction procedure in news items on the television, that's all the cosmetic surgeon seems to do, insert a tube and suck the fat out.

Liposculpture is the art of of producing a beautiful body form through the use of liposuction.

Well, actually, liposuction is a whole lot more complicated than that I found out. Sure you can lose the fat real fast with liposuction. Of course, doing liposuction yourself, you could scar yourself incredibly, or get an infection, or suck out your intestine by accident, and so on, but, even if you could suck out that fat safely yourself, the procedure of liposuction is much, much more difficult and involved than just sucking that fat out.

Think about how the excess fat is distributed over the body, think of the small suction tube used in liposuction, and you can soon start to realise the enormity of the job facing the cosmetic surgeon who has become skilled with liposuction.

If the cosmetic surgeon doing the liposuction doesn't do the liposuction right, you end up looking deformed, with some places on your body looking too thin, and some still way to fat. You may have lost a lot of weight with your liposuction, but your body may look even more unshapely than it did before, and you may not even drop a dress or a pants size in spite of your weight loss.

This is why some cosmetic surgeons are preferring the term liposculpture.

Liposculpture conveys the meaning that your not just sucking the fat out through a tube, as with liposuction, but that as you suck it out, you are making decisions as to how much to suck out and where to suck it out from, to give the customer the best shapely appearance.

In this sense, liposculpture is an art form in it's own right. The surgeon must understand what makes the body look beautiful, the importance of balance and proportion, and also then have the skills to use liposuction to sculpt you to that new form.

A girl can easily go from a size 16 to a size 12, with liposculpture. From looking obese with a large mound of fat round her tummy and thighs, to having an hour glass figure with slenderish tummy and thinner legs.

Liposuction is the fast weight loss machine we all dream of, but without the skilled cosmetic surgeon performing the liposculpture, the dream easily turns to a nightmare. That's why it's incredibly important to check out the cosmetic surgeon who is going to do the liposuction, ask to see before and after photos of previous work that was the same or similar to what you want, talk to your own general doctor about the surgeon and so on.

Of course, even if your cosmetic surgeon succeeds magnificently with the liposuction, the result only remains for as long as you can keep to a diet, to keep the weight from going back on.

My main reference for this article, was "Sculpturing a beautiful female form" which was written by Lise Taylor from an interview she did with Dr. Anoop Rastogi, cosmetic surgeon, and reported in the Cosmetic Surgery Magazine, issue 43, Feb-April 2009.
